FC Groningen have rejected a new bid from AZ Alkmaar for forward Thom van Bergen. The Alkmaar club offered a fee in the region of €5m for the 22-year-old, but Groningen remain firm in their stance that a transfer is currently off the table. With negotiations at a standstill, AZ are now exploring other options, including FC Midtjylland's Valdemar Byskov.(Voetbal International)
